The concerto in question

pub. 1715 by Estienne Roger, trad. attr. Giuseppe Torelli (1658-1709). I believe this is in fact a composite concerto, Torelli having written only the final movement (see text of this study).

I. Allegro
prob. by Tomasso Albinoni

II. Adagio-Presto-Adagio
prob. by Arcangelo Corelli

III. Allegro
prob. by Torelli

.........

Albinoni: Concerto, Opus 7 No. 12

I have transposed the movement up a whole step from the original C to make comparison easier for the ear. This is but one example; listeners may also compare other opening movements of Albinoni's concertos.

I. Allegro

* So as not to complicate the original harmonies, I did not write out harpsichord continuo (right hand) for purposes of this study.
